A Local Area Network (LAN) is composed of various networking equipment such as network switches, routers, UTM appliances, servers, patch panels, cables, and modems, among others. These essential components are typically housed within network racks, which come in closed or open enclosures capable of accommodating them. The size of networking hardware conforms to industry standards, ensuring a seamless fit within the network racks.
